What We’re Looking For:
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Knowledge of pediatric occupational therapy principles and interventions
- Ability to develop rapport with students, educators, and families
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Collaborative approach and adaptability to changing needs
- Organizational skills to manage caseloads across K-8 grades
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans designed by supervising occupational therapist
- Provide direct therapy to students in grades K-8, supporting development of fine motor, sensory processing, and self-care skills
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school guidelines
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to integrate strategies into the classroom setting
- Assist with evaluations and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Offer creative solutions and adaptations to optimize each student’s participation in school activities
- Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers about student progress
Working Hours and Environment:
- Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week
- Full-time school schedule, providing stability and consistent hours
