Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – School-Based
Location: Surprise, Arizona
Contract Duration: August 3, 2026 – May 27, 2027
Schedule: 35 Hours per Week
Setting: K-8 School District

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide high-quality occupational therapy support services to K-8 students in Surprise, Arizona. This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and collaborative therapy professional who is passionate about helping students develop the skills needed for academic success, independence, and participation in the school environment.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Implement individualized treatment plans and therapy interventions
- Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional school skills
- Assist with data collection, documentation, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, administrators, and families
- Participate in consultation and team meetings as needed
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal regulations
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required
- Current Arizona Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Arizona Identity Verified Prints Fingerprint Clearance Card (AZ IVP FPCC)
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively with K-8 student populations
Preferred
- Sensory Integration Certification
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or educational setting
