Desired Qualifications:
- Active Ohio licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Current or eligible Educator certification required
- Previous experience working in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to travel between assigned school sites as needed
- Organized, flexible, and passionate about supporting student growth
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services according to student IEPs, collaborating with supervising OTs and educational staff
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school procedures
- Adapt therapy approaches and interventions to individual student needs across varied grade levels
- Engage with teachers and families to support students’ participation in daily school activities
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Promote strategies for student independence, skill development, and inclusion
