Key Qualifications:
- Valid COTA certification, licensed to practice as required.
- Experience in a school-based setting preferred, particularly with adolescents.
- Strong understanding of supporting students with diverse needs, including implementing IEP goals.
- Effective communication and organization skills to partner with occupational therapists, teachers, and families.
- Ability to adapt practices and interventions for growth and engagement across middle and high school students.
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy support to 6th–12th grade students under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist in delivering interventions addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-regulation, and classroom functional skills.
- Collaborate actively with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals into students’ daily routines.
- Document progress, maintain student records, and prepare reports as needed for meetings and compliance.
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute insights for developing student plans.
