Key Qualifications:
- Active COTA certification with recent renewal
- Experience working with children or adolescents in a school or pediatric setting is preferred
- Understanding of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and ability to contribute to team meetings
- Effective communication and documentation skills
- Adaptability to work collaboratively with occupational therapists, educators, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students under the guidance of an OT
- Assist in developing and implementing therapy plans tailored to each student’s needs
- Record progress and maintain accurate treatment documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student evaluations
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to incorporate therapeutic strategies throughout the school day
- Encourage and motivate students to meet their therapeutic goals and build confidence
