What We’re Looking For:
- Valid Occupational Therapy (OT) license in New York
- Prior experience as an OT in educational settings preferred
- Comfortable working with diverse student populations across elementary, middle, and high school levels
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
- Adaptable and creative in developing interventions tailored to students’ needs
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services to students in classroom and individual settings
- Evaluate students using standardized assessment tools and functional observations
- Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals with input from the multidisciplinary team
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation, progress notes, and reports
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering insights and recommendations to support student outcomes
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to integrate OT strategies into daily routines
