Qualifications and Requirements
- Hold an active Occupational Therapist license or be eligible for licensure
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy required
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated strength in communication, collaboration, and problem-solving with educators and families
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, accessible learning environments for students of varying abilities
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized occupational therapy interventions to support students’ educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, families, and other professionals to optimize student participation and success in classroom activities
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as part of a student-centered team
- Provide guidance and training to school staff, offering strategies and accommodations to enable student independence
- Adapt interventions across different grade levels and learning settings to meet the unique needs of each student
