A contract opportunity is open for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work part-time with a small caseload of just two students in 5th and 6th grades. The focus is on individualized care—each student receives 30 minutes of therapy per week to support their development and educational participation.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC Certification (both required)
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus
- Knowledge of supporting students with disabilities is highly desirable
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to provide all services onsite
- Required clearance documentation to work with students
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy sessions aligned with each student’s IEP
- Assess student needs in areas such as fine motor skills, sensory integration, and functional abilities
- Work closely with teachers, special education professionals, and school teams to enhance student engagement
- Recommend accommodations, modifications, and strategies for classroom participation
- Maintain thorough progress documentation and participate in ongoing team meetings
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and IEP mandates
