Key Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license (GaPSC certification required)
- School-based experience highly valued
- Experience supporting students with disabilities preferred
- Clearance documentation required in accordance with school policies
- Ability to deliver all services onsite (remote therapy is not available for this role)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct occupational therapy services to two students (30 minutes per week per student) in accordance with each student’s IEP
- Assess and address individual student needs, focusing on fine motor skills, functional abilities, and sensory processing
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, special education professionals, and other school staff to support inclusive education
- Develop and recommend classroom accommodations and modifications to optimize student participation
- Document progress and update records to ensure all IEP and regulatory requirements are met
- Maintain ongoing communication with the educational team, sharing insights and supporting a team-based approach to student care
- Ensure all services are performed in compliance with current standards and ethical guidelines
