Key Qualifications:
- Valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC Certification (both required)
- Previous school-based experience is strongly preferred
- Background working with students with disabilities is a plus
- Clearance documentation necessary for school-based work
- Ability to provide all sessions onsite—remote work is not available for this role
Expected Responsibilities:
- Deliver 30 minutes of occupational therapy per week for each student, meeting IEP requirements
- Conduct assessments and address needs relating to fine motor skills, sensory processing, and daily functional abilities
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, special education staff, and related professionals to foster student progress
- Suggest and implement classroom accommodations or modifications that support students’ learning
- Document all services provided and student progress thoroughly and accurately
- Contribute professionally to team meetings and actively communicate about student needs
- Stay current with all regulatory, school, and IEP mandates related to OT services
