As an itinerant therapist, you'll provide essential occupational therapy services across multiple educational sites, making a difference for students with varying needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Washington State Occupational Therapist license and ESA credential
- Up-to-date fingerprinting and background check, completed prior to start
- Currently authorized to work within the country
- Minimum of one year of experience in a school-based OT setting
- Commitment to in-person, on-site service delivery throughout the contract period
Your Role & Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive occupational therapy services to students district-wide, adapting interventions according to each Individualized Education Program (IEP) and developmental stage
- Evaluate students and develop targeted treatment plans aimed at promoting functional independence and academic success
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy strategies into educational routines
- Accurately document assessment findings, progress notes, and service delivery in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and ongoing professional training, including four paid orientation days prior to the school year (August 17, 20, 21, and 24)
- Serve students on a full-time schedule: Monday through Friday, 7.5 paid hours per day (8-hour shift with a 30-minute unpaid lunch)
