Occupational Therapist School Setting - Auburn, WA

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist skilled in school-based services for the upcoming academic year. This full-time role provides comprehensive support to students from ages 3 to 22 across a district-wide setting. You’ll play an integral part in fostering students' growth and independence, working collaboratively with educators and families. The position will begin August 26, 2026, and will continue through June 16, 2027, with four paid orientation days scheduled prior to the start of school (August 17, 20, 21, and 24).
Qualifications:
- Current and valid Washington State OT Certificate
- Valid WA ESA licensure
- Must be currently residing within the United States
- Completion of fingerprinting and background clearance
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in school-based occupational therapy settings
- Experience working with ages 3–22 preferred
- Availability for in-person services only
Responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services district-wide as an itinerant therapist, traveling among schools as needed
- Support students' abilities in areas such as fine motor skills, daily living tasks, and adaptive functioning
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary education teams, teachers, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide consultation and training to staff and caregivers regarding student needs and interventions
- Foster a positive, inclusive environment for diverse learners
