This itinerant role provides the chance to serve students from various age groups across two elementary schools, one middle school, and also support homebound learners. The assignment spans the 2026-2027 school year, beginning with a required Summer Symposium New Hire Orientation from July 27-31, followed by the start of the school year in August.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Colorado Occupational Therapist license in good standing
- Active CO Department of Education (DOE) license
- DORA certification
- Experience supporting diverse caseloads within school settings, ranging from pre-K to middle school
- Excellent communication, collaborative, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage both direct and indirect student services equitably across several sites
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to a caseload of approximately 40-60 students, with assignments thoughtfully adjusted for program intensity and population needs
- Travel between assigned schools (two elementary, one middle) and provide homebound services as needed
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, evaluation processes, and student-specific intervention planning
- Maintain thorough documentation and evaluation records in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Attend and actively engage in the Summer Symposium orientation and other mandatory professional development activities
- Provide support throughout the school year, starting August 3rd, 2026, and concluding May 21st, 2027
- Flexible scheduling is available: choose four longer days or five shorter days weekly, totaling 32 hours
