Key Experience and Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license in North Carolina (or eligibility to obtain)
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric OT settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working alongside educators, families, and other specialists
- Familiarity with IEP processes, documentation, and therapeutic interventions for school-aged children
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEP goals
- Develop and implement creative therapy activities that support students’ participation in classroom routines and school life
- Provide consultative support to teachers and staff for student accommodations and equipment
- Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and required reports in a timely manner
- Collaborate closely with families, school teams, and other professionals to promote student growth and overall well-being
