Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid NC Occupational Therapist license (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP process, documentation, and goal setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt strategies to suit various learning and developmental needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and assess students’ fine motor, sensory, and daily living skills
- Develop and implement individual and group therapy sessions tailored to student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other specialists to optimize support for each child
- Attend IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations for student plans
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, and progress
- Support generalization of skills across academic and community settings
