This contract opportunity spans the full academic year, providing vital services to K-12 students across four buildings. Work collaboratively with a dedicated COTA, who will focus on grades 5-12 and selected younger students under your supervision. Both on-site and virtual candidates are encouraged to express interest.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and valid Vermont OT or COTA certification
- Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to engage students, teachers, and families
- Comfortable adapting therapies to diverse learning needs and age groups
- Ability to work full-time, 35-37.5 hours per week, for the duration of the assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services for K-12 students in diverse school settings
- Conduct assessments to identify students’ therapeutic needs and develop individualized intervention plans
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other service providers
- Supervise a COTA responsible for grades 5-12 plus some 2nd-4th grade students
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet required timelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Support student progress through ongoing evaluation and adjusted interventions
