School Occupational Therapist - Chester, Vermont

Make an impact supporting students across K-12 by stepping into a full-time contract Occupational Therapist opportunity, providing services throughout four schools for the 2026-2027 academic year. This position offers the flexibility to work on-site or virtually and invites certified OTs and COTAs to make a meaningful difference every day.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Vermont OT or COTA certification required
- Experience working in school settings with children from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a multi-site role, adapting to varying grade levels and unique student needs
- Comfortable providing supervision and support for COTAs (for district-wide OT applicants)
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and documentation preferred
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students across all educational levels
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement and participation
- Supervise and partner with a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) supporting grades 2–12
- Create individualized treatment plans and track progress towards student goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for adaptations or interventions
- Maintain accurate records and timely documentation in accordance with school district requirements
- Support transitions between grade levels and learning environments
This contract runs from August 26, 2026, through June 14, 2027, offering a consistent and engaging schedule of 35–37.5 hours per week in a collaborative environment that values innovation and student-centered practice.
