Key Qualifications:
- Valid Vermont OT or COTA certification, required
- Experience providing occupational therapy in school settings (K-12 preferred)
- Familiarity working with a wide age range (elementary through high school)
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, staff, and special education teams
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working across multiple buildings within a district
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based OT interventions and supports for K-12 students, tailored to individual and group needs
- COTA will support students in grades 5–12, and select students in grades 2–4, under the guidance of a licensed OT
- Participate in IEP development, meetings, and progress reporting
- Document sessions and monitor students’ progress toward established goals
- Recommend adaptive strategies and equipment to facilitate access to the school environment
- Consult with educators and families to enhance student success
- Maintain compliance with district and licensing protocols
