This full-time Occupational Therapist (OT) opportunity offers a contract position working with students across different age groups, based on your area of expertise and preference. The role spans two campuses, with one location assigned per day—eliminating the need for midday travel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Occupational Therapy services to students in general education, resource, and select special education classrooms
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Utilize sensory integration strategies to help students meet their educational goals
- Maintain thorough documentation, including progress notes and goal tracking
- Participate in IEP meetings and communicate student progress to relevant stakeholders
- Adapt interventions to suit early childhood, elementary, middle, or high school populations as determined in the interview process
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in the state of Illinois
- Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations highly preferred
- Familiarity with sensory integration techniques and progress monitoring
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively
- Available for a full-time schedule (37.5 hours/week) during the academic year
- Comfortable working onsite and supporting students in a school-based setting
