This contract role, spanning the academic year, offers the chance to work closely with early childhood, kindergarten, first, and second grade students—helping them achieve their fullest potential each day in a nurturing and inclusive setting. The position runs from August 17th to June 3rd, following a schedule of 7:55 AM to 2:55 PM, Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with credentials valid for school-based practice
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Creative problem-solving approach to student needs
- Comfortable adapting therapy to various developmental levels
- Compassion, patience, and enthusiasm for working with EC-2nd grade students
- COTAs are not eligible for this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services within classrooms and individualized sessions
- Assess students and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals specific to each student’s needs
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to foster inclusive learning
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with school policies
- Participate in professional development and training as needed
