- Prior experience in a school setting is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices related to occupational therapy
- Proficiency in assessment, development of intervention plans, and delivery of evidence-based therapy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective teamwork and collaboration
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ needs using a variety of assessment tools
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address each student’s unique strengths and challenges
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other specialists to monitor progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
- Offer guidance and strategies to school staff and parents to support carryover of skills
