Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Licensed Occupational Therapist in Illinois
- Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP process and special education regulations
- Proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments and designing individualized OT plans
- Strong teamwork, communication, and consultation abilities
- Detail-oriented and highly organized
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ motor, sensory, and adaptive skills to determine OT needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized interventions and therapy plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Contribute to IEP meetings, documentation, and progress reporting
- Provide direct and consultative OT services within classroom and pull-out settings
- Educate staff and families on strategies to facilitate student participation and success
