Services will be delivered through a mix of individual, small group, and push-in settings, adapting to the needs outlined in each student's IEP. The position follows a standard school-day schedule from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm, and is available for immediate start, lasting through June 10.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid occupational therapy certification/license specific to Alabama (candidates must be able to provide proof).
- Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Comfortable providing therapy to diverse student groups in both individual and group settings.
- Strong understanding of IEP process and documentation.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to travel between four school sites in the Birmingham area.
- Must be available for on-site work only (remote/virtual options are not available).
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and provide direct therapy based on IEP mandates.
- Design and implement individualized and group interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student goals.
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in accordance with school and state policies.
