This full-time contract position runs from October to December 2026, serving two school sites in the Minooka, IL area. You'll collaborate closely with educators and support teams to provide high-quality therapies and interventions designed to help students achieve their fullest potential across a variety of environments.
Essential Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in the state of Illinois (IL OT license required)
- Experience in school settings highly preferred
- Knowledge of best practices and compliance requirements for school-based therapy
- Previous home health, general healthcare, or pediatric OT experience desirable
- Skills in assessment, IEP development, and data-driven intervention planning
- Strong communication abilities to work effectively with students, staff, and families
- Comfort adapting to multiple sites and varied caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services across two school locations, supporting students’ development of essential skills
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and interpret results to inform Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and ongoing progress reviews
- Provide training and resources to staff and families to support students’ needs within the classroom and at home
