What we’re seeking:
- Valid Nevada State Occupational Therapist License (required)
- Experience with teletherapy, fine motor, and gross motor skill development
- Ability to work effectively with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTA) in a school setting
- Prior experience in a school environment is a plus, but candidates with solid OT foundations and a readiness to learn are encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with educators, students, and their families
- Commitment to fostering student independence and success within the classroom setting
Key responsibilities:
- Assessing and supporting students’ motor skills and functional performance within the school environment
- Developing and implementing individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educators and support staff
- Providing both on-site and virtual (teletherapy) occupational therapy services when needed
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of evaluations, goals, and progress
- Assisting with IEP meetings and progress reporting, ensuring student needs are met in compliance with law and best practice
- Supporting and guiding COTAs assigned to students on your caseload
