Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Connecticut Occupational Therapy (OT) license required
- Experience in school-based OT settings strongly preferred
- Comfortable covering multiple sites within a school district
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt therapy approaches for different age groups and needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct OT services to students across multiple schools within the district
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and set appropriate therapeutic goals
- Monitor and document student progress in accordance with school policies and professional best practices
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to support student success in the educational environment
- Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to collaborative educational planning
- Ensure compliance with all relevant state and federal guidelines, as well as district procedures
