Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid and current Occupational Therapist license required
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly desirable
- Understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and familiarity with educational environments
- Excellent communication, documentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt interventions to address a variety of student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for students referred through the school
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focusing on functional skills and increased independence
- Work directly with students one-on-one or in small groups to provide targeted interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and related service professionals to support students’ development
- Document student progress, attend IEP meetings, and provide input for educational planning
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices
