Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state Occupational Therapist license
- Previous experience working with school-aged children
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to develop and implement IEPs and therapy plans
- Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluations of students’ functional skills within the school setting
- Develop and deliver customized therapy interventions to meet students’ individual needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to integrate OT strategies into the classroom
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide guidance and support to school staff regarding adaptations or accommodations
- Stay current with best practices and ongoing professional development
