An exciting full-time opportunity awaits an Occupational Therapist for the 2026/2027 academic year in the Buckeye, AZ area. This contract role is ideal for a dynamic OT who is passionate about supporting student growth and fostering independence within a school setting.
As the assigned Occupational Therapist, you’ll work 40 hours per week, beginning August 3, 2027. Your caseload will consist of approximately 60 students, either in a preschool environment or within a K-8 developmental program—offering variety and the chance to make a measurable impact in different age groups. You’ll also have the support of a COTA, whom you’ll supervise, ensuring collaborative and effective service delivery.
Key Qualifications:
- Active and valid Occupational Therapist (OT) license.
- Current Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card.
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatric populations preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage a caseload and supervise a COTA.
- Adaptability to support either a preschool or K-8 developmental setting.
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct OT assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student goals.
- Complete timely progress reports, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance.
- Supervise and guide a COTA within the program.
