Desired Background & Skills:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure/certification as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working in school-based settings or with pediatric populations
- Familiarity with IEP development and implementation
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities for collaboration with students, staff, and families
- Ability to travel between multiple school sites within the Vancouver region
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations and assessments for students from diverse backgrounds
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans targeting fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and classroom participation
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and support staff to integrate therapy strategies and support educational goals
- Document progress, report findings, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate families and caregivers on at-home strategies to reinforce therapeutic techniques
- Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines and professional standards
