Occupational Therapist School Setting in Camden, NJ
Make a meaningful impact working as an Occupational Therapist supporting students across two nearby schools. Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Jersey Occupational Therapist (OT) license required
- Previous school-based OT experience strongly preferred
- Experience supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities at the elementary, middle, or high school level
- Familiarity with IEPs and educational collaboration
- Strong communication skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and parents
- Organizational skills and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
- Compliance with district and state-specific requirements for school-based therapy roles
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted occupational therapy services to K-12 students aligned with their IEP goals
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote student progress
- Assess, document, and report on student needs and therapeutic interventions
- Travel between two schools (just 10 minutes apart) with a flexible two-day-per-site schedule
- Adjust interventions according to ongoing assessments and team input
