Qualifications:
- Active and current New York Occupational Therapy license required
- Prior experience as an OT in a school setting preferred
- Strong understanding of pediatric assessment tools and intervention strategies
- Ability to create and implement effective treatment plans
- Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ functional abilities and needs within the school setting
- Develop and carry out therapeutic interventions to support participation in the educational process
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and other related service providers
- Document evaluations, therapy sessions, and ongoing progress according to school and regulatory guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise on growth and appropriate therapeutic goals
- Provide consultation and education to school staff and families to ensure continuity of care
