Qualifications/Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active OT license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain).
- Previous experience working in a school or pediatric setting is highly preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs and treatment plans.
- Ability to adapt strategies to a variety of learning environments and student needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to support students’ participation in school routines and activities.
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students’ unique strengths, needs, and goals.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote a supportive, inclusive learning environment.
- Document therapy activities, progress notes, and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and legal requirements.
- Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and home carryover activities.
- Participate in IEP meetings and offer professional insight to support student growth and access to curriculum.
