What you’ll bring:
- Active Illinois Occupational Therapy license (IL OT License required)
- Relevant state and district credentials as applicable
- Previous experience in school settings, working with students in general education co-taught and self-contained programs strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with teachers, families, and students
- Adaptability and creative problem-solving abilities to support diverse student needs
Your day-to-day:
- Provide therapy to a caseload of approximately 30 students in grades 6-8
- Serve students participating in both general education co-taught and self-contained programs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on students’ IEP goals
- Conduct assessments, document progress, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Support students’ access to curriculum and promote independence within the school environment
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all state and district requirements
