You’ll work on-site, either full time (Monday–Friday, 7:45 am–3:15 pm) or, if preferred, split the load as one of two part-time professionals. In this role, you’ll be an essential member of middle school teams, making a direct impact through initial and re-evaluations for special education eligibility, supporting MTSS and IEP initiatives, and consulting to ensure generalization of therapeutic skills across learning environments.
What you’ll bring:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Illinois
- Strong background in school-based Occupational Therapy
- Experience or coursework in MTSS and IEP process preferred
- Ability to conduct comprehensive assessments and write thorough evaluation reports
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Your primary responsibilities:
- Deliver OT services at two middle school campuses
- Complete assessments and re-evaluations to determine student eligibility for special education
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff on MTSS and IEP implementation
- Consult with team members to support carryover of skills into the classroom and school environment
- Participate in regular meetings and ongoing professional development as part of an eight-member OT team
