In this position, you will:
- Work onsite at two middle school campuses from 7:45 am–3:15 pm, Monday through Friday.
- Serve as a vital member of building-level teams, participating in both initial and re-evaluation assessments to help determine student eligibility for special education services.
- Provide Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Individualized Education Program (IEP) support, ensuring students’ needs are thoroughly addressed.
- Collaborate closely with educators and school teams, offering consultation and strategies to promote skill generalization across settings.
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented environment with experienced OTs who value collaboration and professional growth.
We’re seeking candidates with:
- Experience in school-based occupational therapy (OT).
- Solid understanding of MTSS and IEP processes within middle school settings.
- Effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Licensure and credentials required for practicing OT in Illinois.
- A proactive approach to supporting students, teams, and instructional staff.
This contract role offers a dynamic workday and the chance to influence student progress on both an individual and systemic level. Compensation starts at $43 per hour and varies with experience. Success in this role could lead to contract renewal.
