Occupational Therapist Responsibilities
The Occupational Therapist will provide school-based occupational therapy services to students and collaborate with educators, families, and other school-based professionals to support student development and success.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing occupational therapy services to students
- Supporting students with fine motor, sensory, functional, and developmental needs
- Developing and implementing appropriate therapy goals and interventions
- Collaborating with teachers, school staff, families, and related service providers
- Participating in IEP meetings and contributing to student progress
- Maintaining accurate documentation and student records
Occupational Therapist Qualifications
- Active South Carolina Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Occupational Therapy degree from an accredited program
- Experience working with children or in a school-based setting preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively with students, teachers, families, and school staff
