Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Alaska
- TYPE C Certification required
- Preference for candidates with Alaska OT certification
- Prior experience as a school OT or familiarity with school-based therapy practices
- Willingness to work exclusively in-person (no virtual options at this time)
- Ability to dedicate approximately 37.5 hours per week and manage a caseload with around 1000 minutes of direct student contact weekly
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide in-person occupational therapy services to students with varying needs during the normal school year through 5/21/27
- Assess and document student progress, updating goals as needed
- Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student participation in academic and functional tasks
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to foster student success in the educational environment
- Attend team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
