Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license for Alaska (AK Licensure required)
- TYPE C Certification required
- School-based or pediatric OT experience is highly preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
- Comfort working with diverse caseloads and adapting to varying student needs
- AK-Certified candidates are preferred, but all qualified applicants will be considered
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person OT services to students with a total of approximately 1,000 minutes of contact per week (equivalent to 16 hours direct service)
- Develop individualized therapy plans that address students’ unique physical and developmental needs within the school environment
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other support professionals to assess progress and adjust intervention plans
- Maintain accurate documentation for student records and comply with district policies and state regulations
- Support a caseload in a dynamic school setting, providing flexible and creative solutions to maximize student participation and independence
This contract runs through 5/21/27, offering the opportunity for consistent professional engagement and meaningful student impact. Full-time hours (37.5 per week) allow you to play an integral role as part of the school's multidisciplinary team.
