Key Qualifications:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Alaska
- Type C Certification required
- School-based OT experience or strong pediatric background preferred
- Ability to deliver a minimum of 1000 minutes per week (approximately 16 hours) of direct student interaction
- AK Certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills and collaborative approach
- Comfortable working exclusively onsite, as virtual/VOCO options are not available for this assignment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess students and develop targeted intervention plans
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal student outcomes
- Deliver therapeutic interventions in accordance with students’ IEP goals
- Track progress, maintain detailed documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Contribute creative solutions for maximizing students’ participation in school activities
- Remain updated on best practices for school-based OT services
