School Occupational Therapist | Chester, Vermont
Make a meaningful impact in the lives of students as a dedicated Occupational Therapist or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant supporting K-12 learners across four school buildings. For the 2026-2027 school year, a contract opportunity offers the chance to collaborate with a supportive educational team, addressing a variety of student needs from early elementary to high school grades.
This district seeks an enthusiastic and resourceful OT to serve students district-wide, or a skilled COTA to focus on 5th to 12th grade—with additional support to 2nd-4th graders under OT supervision. You'll have the chance to deliver direct therapy, participate in IEP meetings, and support students’ educational growth.
What you bring:
- Valid Vermont OT Certificate (required)
- Experience in school-based or pediatric occupational therapy preferred
- Ability to effectively collaborate with teachers, families, and related service staff
- Commitment to promoting student independence and participation in the school environment
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
What you’ll do:
- Provide direct therapy services to a diverse caseload of K-12 students across multiple buildings
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educational staff to support student access and success in school routines
- Document services and maintain compliance with district and state guidelines
- Contribute creative solutions to help students thrive and reach educational milestones
