Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or a related discipline from an accredited institution
- Valid state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Actively registered with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Minimum of three years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist, including at least three years working in a school-based setting
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organization skills
- Ability to work independently across multiple campuses
What You’ll Do:
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations and direct services to K-8 students as outlined in their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Travel between two to three schools in the Lake County area, ensuring continuity of care and support for assigned students
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily routines
- Develop and maintain necessary documentation, including progress reporting and treatment planning
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goal setting
This part-time role consists of a 20-hour work week, with the flexibility to split your schedule across two or three days as best fits your needs. The position offers the unique experience of working with a diverse student population, making a real difference in their academic and personal success.
