Qualifications and Skills
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Previous experience in a school setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Passion for working with children and supporting their growth
Key Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to PreK–8th grade students as outlined in IEPs
- Assess students to determine therapy needs and create treatment plans
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to promote student development
- Document progress, maintain thorough records, and participate in IEP meetings
- Educate school staff and families about strategies to support students' motor and adaptive skills
- Travel between schools or classrooms as required
