This is a contract position, offering a focused 3-day-per-week schedule with a manageable caseload of approximately 30 students. Key Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience in school settings, home health, or healthcare-related OT roles is highly valued
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Passion for working with diverse student populations and collaborating with educators and families
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group occupational therapy services to students on the caseload
- Develop, implement, and update treatment plans based on students’ needs and IEP goals
- Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Consult and collaborate with teachers, parents, and other support staff to enhance students’ educational experiences
- Adapt therapy strategies to maximize students’ independence and participation in the school environment
