You’ll make a direct difference for approximately 40 students by delivering essential occupational therapy services and collaborating closely with educational teams.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Michigan
- Experience in school-based OT, particularly with elementary-aged children
- Strong ability to develop and implement IEP goals
- Proficient in progress monitoring and documenting student outcomes
- Skilled in conducting evaluations and preparing detailed MET reports
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide both direct and indirect occupational therapy services to an elementary caseload, ensuring student needs are met across multiple locations
- Participate in IEP meetings; develop, maintain, and update IEP documentation
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy interventions as needed
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and complete necessary evaluation reports
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to create supportive learning environments for each student
- Manage routine documentation and compliance tasks associated with school-based therapy services
