School Occupational Therapist | Collinsville, Illinois
Experience the opportunity to make a meaningful difference for K–12 students as an Occupational Therapist in a school-based setting near Collinsville, IL. This contract-to-hire position covers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week, working five days a week, and offers the chance to support a diverse caseload, ranging from young learners to high school students.
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy and hold a current Illinois OT credential. Ideal applicants are comfortable delivering therapy in a variety of settings—including in-school, home health, and teletherapy—and are passionate about helping students reach their fullest potential.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
- Active Illinois OT license
- Experience working in school-based environments, K–12 preferred
- Skills in providing services across multiple delivery methods (in-school, home health, teletherapy)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered care
Role Responsibilities:
- Assess student abilities and develop individualized intervention plans
- Deliver occupational therapy services to a K–12 caseload
- Support students in developing the skills necessary for academic success
- Document progress and participate in IEP meetings
- Coordinate with teachers, families, and staff to support each student’s growth
- Adapt approaches to meet diverse student needs
