Job Overview
Soliant Education is seeking 2 qualified Occupational Therapists (OTs) for full-time and part-time opportunities in Colorado Springs, CO. These positions involve providing occupational therapy services to students receiving special education support, helping them develop the motor, sensory, and functional skills necessary for success in the educational environment.
We are looking for dedicated professionals who are passionate about supporting students' independence, participation, and overall academic success.
Available Positions
We currently have 2 Occupational Therapy openings with varying schedules:
- 1 Full-Time Position: 1.0 FTE (approximately 40 hours per week)
- 1 Part-Time Position: 0.5 FTE (approximately 20 hours per week)
Weekly hours are approximate and subject to the district's schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students with diverse developmental and educational needs.
- Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and assessments to determine student needs and eligibility for services.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Support students in developing fine motor skills, sensory processing abilities, visual-motor integration, and daily living skills.
- Collaborate with special education teachers, general education staff, administrators, and families.
- Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and classroom accommodations to improve student participation.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and student records.
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans to promote student independence and functional performance in the school environment.
Qualifications
- Must hold an active Colorado Occupational Therapist license.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Previous school-based or pediatric occupational therapy experience preferred.
- Familiarity with special education procedures, IEP development, and school-based therapy services.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students across diverse educational and developmental needs.
