Your expertise will be instrumental in conducting assessments, implementing individualized intervention plans, and collaborating with teachers and families. As part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you’ll work a consistent Monday through Friday schedule (37.5 hours per week), providing essential services to students across a variety of age groups and needs.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license in Rhode Island
- Experience with pediatric populations, preferably in a school-based setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt strategies to meet students’ diverse developmental and functional needs
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ strengths and areas for growth
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans targeting fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills
- Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other related service providers
- Monitor progress and document outcomes according to school and district guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Provide guidance and education to staff and families on occupational therapy supports
