Occupational Therapist School Setting - Cranston, RI

As an Occupational Therapist in this role, you’ll work a 37.5-hour week across five days, engaging with K-12 students who present a variety of needs. Your professional skills will enable students to participate fully in the school day by helping them develop key motor, social, and adaptive skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Rhode Island Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Experience in a school-based OT setting strongly preferred
- Ability to assess, develop, and implement individual and group therapy plans for diverse student populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for partnering with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for students referred by the IEP process or school teams
- Develop and deliver individualized treatment plans that address educational and functional goals
- Document interventions, progress, and outcomes in adherence to state and district requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal setting and plan updates
- Consult with classroom staff to implement strategies that promote student engagement and success
- Foster an inclusive environment that supports the unique strengths and needs of each learner
