This assignment begins in the third week of June, providing an impactful summer experience with approximately 21 to 25 students. You'll collaborate with about 11 elementary, 7 middle school, and 2 high school students, adapting your approach to each developmental stage.
What We're Looking For:
- Current Occupational Therapy license (state requirements apply)
- Experience working in schools or pediatric settings highly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEPs, goal development, and progress tracking
- Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Passion for supporting students with varying physical, sensory, and developmental needs
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students’ needs and create tailored intervention plans
- Deliver direct and consultative OT services according to IEP goals
- Monitor progress and document therapy outcomes
- Collaborate with educators and caregivers to support student success
- Adjust schedules to accommodate families, as session hours are based on when parents can bring students
- Serve students in elementary, middle, and high school, ensuring developmental appropriateness of interventions
