Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Occupational Therapist license, or ability to secure Michigan OT licensure before the start of the school year
- Experience in a school-based setting or a strong interest in serving K-12 populations
- Knowledge of creating and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Solid communication and collaboration skills with educators, students, and families
- Flexibility and willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of students
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative OT services to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Conduct evaluations, develop treatment goals, and document student progress in accordance with educational standards
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support academic achievement and student access to curriculum
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate records and comply with district and state policies
