Occupational Therapist School Setting in Decatur, GA

This part-time contract position spans from ASAP through May 22, 2026, and involves delivering specialized occupational therapy services in alignment with each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Desired Qualifications:
- Current and valid Georgia Occupational Therapist license and GaPSC Certification (both required).
- Previous experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred.
- Background working with students with disabilities is an advantage.
- Ability to provide services onsite (remote work is not available).
- Clearance documentation required prior to onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver 30 minutes of direct occupational therapy weekly to each assigned student, in compliance with IEP service mandates.
- Evaluate and address students’ fine motor, sensory, and functional skills impacting their educational participation.
- Collaborate actively with educators, special education staff, and other specialists to promote student progress.
- Offer strategies and recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications to support access and learning.
- Maintain up-to-date records, IEP documentation, and progress notes per regulatory standards.
- Contribute to ongoing communication and team meetings regarding student needs and development.
