Occupational Therapist School Setting in Dekalb, IL

A dedicated Occupational Therapist is needed for a full-time, onsite contract working with high school students from September 1, 2026 to January 15, 2027. This opportunity offers the chance to support learners’ strengths and address their unique needs in a collaborative school-based setting located near Dekalb, IL.
Key Qualifications:
- Must hold an active Illinois Occupational Therapist (OT) license
- Minimum of one year of direct school-based OT experience
- Comfortable working independently with high school students
- Previous experience developing and implementing IEP goals
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- No COTAs; certified OTs only
- Confident and adaptable in dynamic educational environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to identify students’ occupational therapy needs
- Develop, implement, and track progress on individualized intervention plans
- Work alongside teachers, counselors, families, and related service professionals
- Provide engaging, relevant therapy—both one-on-one and in group settings
- Maintain up-to-date documentation that supports student goals and compliance
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a collaborative school culture
